Classes and Workshops
Spring 2025 classes and workshops will take place in open-air locations that help participants calm their minds and connect with nature. We focus on non-contact practice with wooden weapons and safe light-contact practice with a training partner.
Please follow Bokken Art on Instagram for class schedules.
Who is it for?
Bokken Art classes are for adults interested in martial arts’ philosophical and physical aspects, as instructed through the modern-life lens.
Classes are suitable for people of most ages and abilities. However, we do expect our participants to be able to perform at least ten air squats, sit on the ground for prolonged periods, and get off the ground without assistance.
Parents with teenage children are very welcome! Teenagers are additionally assisted by experienced youth practitioners. We don’t run classes for children at this time.
